Online Sales Assistant, UK Sales – London

An opportunity to join the sales team of a top 5 UK publisher at a time of dynamic investment and growth.

We are looking to recruit an Online Sales Assistant with good organizational skills to work in our fast paced Online Sales team. Reporting to the Head of Online Sales, this position will play a key role within the wider team responsible for looking after and developing all online and digital accounts in the UK. Essential support to Amazon’s Online Sales Manager and Senior Account Manager, as well as assistance in the administration and day-to-day operations of the team, compiling data for analysis (ABR and other sales reports ) and be the first point of contact for general internal questions about our online accounts.

The ideal candidate will have initiative, natural curiosity, enthusiasm, be data-driven, good at multitasking and with a love of spreadsheets and ready to join a highly motivated and dynamic team.

Based in our Bedford Square office, this will be a hybrid workstation.

The role

Account Administration:

  • Maintain our sales tracking and compile data for reports to share internally
  • Prepare client presentations
  • Prepare and send NYP grids to clients
  • Regularly inform online customers about M&P campaigns
  • Coordinate and report on compliance checks
  • Help administering online accounts

Market analysis:

  • Create regular sales reports to share internally, including weekly sales in all formats
  • Managed availability checks on major retailers
  • Provide timely sales figures and market analysis requests

Support and administration of the team in line with the other sales assistants:

  • Bookscan reports and updates
  • Provide support for general sales administration and ad hoc business analysis, including annual business reviews

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organized and knows how to prioritize tasks
  • Strong digital skills
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong communication skills
  • Mastery of systems such as Biblio, Nielsen, Cognos and Vista

The role is a permanent full-time position with a salary of £24,000 per year.

The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP On a hybrid 2 day in office / 3 day home (or fully in office if preferred) work model. Office days allocated for this role are: Monday/Tuesday

The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be repaid over 2 years.
